About JADA

Built for the open ocean.
Perfected on San Diego Bay.

JADA was designed by Judson Kelly as a long-distance ocean racer and built at Stephens Brothers Shipyard in Stockton, California. She was launched June 5th, 1938 — and has been sailing San Diego waters ever since.

Designed for blue-water ocean racing, JADA is a solid and fast passage-making vessel. Even today, with the addition of a modern diesel engine, she remains an exceptional sea boat — and a rare piece of living maritime history.
